If anybody is still reading this blog: I have gone on. But you could follow me. I’ve started venturing into the shadows of a personal mailing list. The reasons why – for my writing – this will probably be superior to a blog are outlined quite elaborately on an article on Noah Slater’s mailing list. In a nutshell: A hosted mailing list means less distraction by configration, by the ambition of making the publishing software as great, beautiful and performing as possible (which I never really did, anyway). It just provides an outlet for anything I might or might not write. Or anything you might or might not write. And commenting and discussing happens much more intuitively than on blogs, in fact happens on the same level as posting – others are no second-class citizens on a mailing list! All these reasons have led me into creating the Into the Shadows… list on Google Groups. I’d love to see you on there! (Perhaps I’ll even do a posts RSS feed for it somewhen.)
